Astronomy Adventure — NGC 1981 And M42

NGC 1981 is an nice, often-ignored open cluster in Orion, lying just above the famous Orion Nebula, M42. In this photo, M42 is down at the lower left edge of the photo. There is also a hint of nebulosity, part of the famed Running Man Nebula, around one of the three closely and nearly aligned stars between M42 and the open cluster.
