Astronomy Friday — Lion Nebula

NGC 2392 (the fuzzy ball to the left of the central star in this photo) is now known as the Lion Nebula and is a double-shelled planetary nebula in the constellation Gemini. The bright center is not a star but another interior layer of gas being ejected by the unseen central star.
