NGC 3242 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Hydra and is commonly referred to as the “ghost of Jupiter”. It has multiple shells of material expelled by the dying star in its center. Here you can (barely) see a brighter, almost horizontal, shell surrounded by more circular material.
