Astronomy Friday — The Needle Galaxy
NGC 4565, also known as the Needle Galaxy, is a beautiful edge-on spiral galaxy in the constellation Coma Berenices. You can see a the much smaller and fainter spiral galaxy NGC 4562 above and to the left of the Needle.
