Astronomy Friday — Triangulum Galaxy

--

Messier 33, also known as the Triangulum galaxy, is the 2nd closest spiral galaxy to the Earth, with only the Andromeda galaxy closer. Despite its closeness, its low surface brightness spread out across the face-on view we have of it makes it a difficult object to see and capture.
